About the event

Welcome to The Living Room Series

Presented by the Absecon Cultural Arts Alliance

Sketchbook Club is happy to announce that we will have a guest artist instruct us for our next session!

Absecon Cultural Arts Alliance is pleased to invite you to the next page of the ACAA Virtual Sketch Book Club!

Join us on July 8th at 6pm for a very special live stream sketch book club via Zoom with guest artist, Cheryl Knowles-Harrigan  where she helps us learn the "rules" of Sketch Club. Have some fun as we grab our paper and our pencils and follow along with instruction from Cheryl on the joys of sketch booking!

Cheryl Knowles-Harrigan was educated at Philadelphia College of Art (illustration) and Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (painting, printmaking). Her graduate degree is in Educational Technology from Stockton University of NJ. She is a Full Professor of Art at Atlantic Cape Community College where she teaches drawing, mixed media painting, classical drawing and painting techniques, printmaking, and General Education art courses for the non-major. She has lectured on art history, art appreciation, and led hands-on workshops for teenagers and adults at numerous art and community centers.

Please note the time is 6pm to help accommodate those who are back to work!

No previous drawing experience necessary. This is a low stress event and a judgment free zone. All you will need to start is paper and a pencil.

This will be hosted on Zoom.

We are now offering an ACAA Sketchbook Club Starter kit consisting of a Wirebound 5.5x8.5 Sketchbook and a Sketch and Drawing Art Pencil Kit - 17-Piece Set for our cost of $15. If interested, Visit our website to purchase. Contactless pick up can be arranged.

This event is free to all. Donations are appreciated*.

This event may be recorded. By participating you are granting the ACAA the right to rebroadcast your reading. Original artist retains all rights to their work.

*The ACAA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. All proceeds go towards helping the ACAA fund art related events and education in the Absecon Area.
